Now that you have a general understanding of what a forum is (click here if you don’t), I am going to tell you a pretty cool way of making some money on the side posting on forums. One of the hardest things about starting a forum is getting new content on the site. It requires so much effort as a webmaster to continue posting and updating the forum and getting new stuff onto it to make it fresh and appear active to new potential members. Take it from me, working with a forum can be extremely frustrating, but at the same time, very rewarding. However, it is still very frustrating. So, how does this help you?
People that run these forums tend to want help. Now, there are two things that people can do when they want help to ‘populate’ their forum. The first is that they can go to a website that offers forum population. An example of this could be a site this guy runs. This place offers a bunch of writers a place to get jobs for forum posting. It is a really resourceful site. However, that doesn’t always help you out. So, how can this help you? I’ll tell you…Webmasters tend to also hire people that are not part of companies to write posts. I know I have from time to time. Now, the important thing that you need to know is that you should never get weaseled into writing posts for cheap.
What is cheap anyways? The going rate for a post is anywhere from $.1 to $.25 a post. Don’t go below that because getting any money will require far too much time. However, you can really make some nice money from doing these forum posts. A good site to go to to find people hiring this stuff is to check out forums.digitalpoint.com. It really provides a lot of people that are hiring and selling different services. Check it out and maybe you’ll get something. I better get back to studying. Have a great night!

I cannot express just how important it is for you to stay consistent with whatever you are going to do. When you are creating that idea you can work with (see article here), try and think about how many times you want to update the site every week or every day or every month. If you come to the conclusion that you want to update the site every single day, then you need to make sure you do that. It is very important for the growth of your site to constantly update it. Allowing it to grow stagnant will only hurt you and limit the amount of money you can potentially make. And when we are dealing with earning money, no one wants to miss out on making more than they already are. That would take the capitalists out of all of us!
This has to do primarily with blogs (see different site ideas here) because they almost become slightly more community like. You are posting on your regular trends and people continue to come back to see what you say. That is why I update this site once a day. If I didn’t, the readers that I have (so glad you are reading, by the way) would get fed up and stop coming. So, consistency in the number of posts that you make a day/week/month is important. Another thing that is very important is the need for good content day in and day out. If your posts suck, people will get tired over time as well. You need to make content that people will like. I am not sure if my posts are overly enjoyable, but they do the trick in teaching you how to become successful on the web.
Now, this does not only have to deal with websites. Say you own a landscaping business. You need to stay consistent on what you do everyday. If everyday you get five new clients and you do the landscaping for the five clients you got the day prior on the next day, make sure you do it. Basically, if you got five clients on Monday, did their work on Tuesday and got five clients on Tuesday to do on Wednesday, and you suddenly forgot to work on Tuesday, when Wednesday rolled around, you’d be back logged. Get too back logged and people lose faith. The same goes for a website. Don’t get backlogged. Post everyday and be consistent about it. That is one full proof way of beginning to make money. Good luck!
