Theme: A New Way to Update Your Blog

Earlier in the month, I talked about how it is important to always update to the latest version of your blog software. The reason for this is because there are a bunch of very mean, cruel people out there who would love to just destroy everything you have worked for. Why? I haven’t the faintest idea. However, one of the things most people are always afraid of is messing up when they update. Blogging is easy; however, the technical aspect of it is not the easiest.

That’s why there is now a plug-in that allows you to automatically update your blog without fear of messing things up. Basically, you install the plug-in like you would with any other plug-in that you use, and then it starts to do its job in updating your blog, if you need it, to the latest version. This is really great because I normally had to pay my friend $5.00 per blog to update it and if I was ever going to start opening more blogs like I intended, this would really become costly. Now I can use this service to get it done.

All you need to do is install it and then it takes care of everything from disabling all your current plug-ins, to backing up your database, to putting the site in maintenance mode and everything else. It’s really a wonderful plug-in and once I am done with this post, I intend on installing it myself so that I can update my blog without having to freak out about messing something up.
