For stock tips and mutual fund tips, I've found this stock website to be very useful!
Being a student is a costly exercise. There are lots of expenses coming from every which way and not many opportunities to earn income. If you are in dire need of emergency funds, you can turn to same day loans. These will provide you with finance far quicker than what a bank would.

Theme: The Start of the Year - Make Your Plans NOW

January 1, 2008

Dorm Earning is growing. All of my sites are growing. And now that it is the start of the year, it is time that you set your New Years resolutions for your websites. You need to sit down and really determine what your resolutions are because otherwise, what are your plans? I remember last year, I made none and made marginal success. I sort of got where I wanted to, but did I really make anything exceptional? No. What about John Chow? Last year, he intended on showing that you could make a full time income part time blogging. He made 180K in 2007. His goal for ‘08? 300K!

So, what do you do? Sit down and see what you want to do. Try and determine what you are looking to gain and then set them out in stone. For instance, I am going to show you what my plans are for this year and make one of my more personal posts. I am going to tell you what I want to do and then we can see if I do it in a year. In one year, we can see if I could step up and really produce. John Chow did it in one year. Can I do it in one year? Here are my New Years Resolutions for my earning on the web:

  • Turn DormEarning.com into an earner. I want to be earning $2,000 a month minimum from the blog each and every month. Is that attainable? Yeah, if I work.
  • Get my RSS subscription over one thousand by the end of the year. Want to help? Subscribe to my feed.
  • Be considered a pro when it comes to this particular niche. Granted, that’s a bit harder, but it’s still attainable I think.

Those are my three resolutions. I have a few others, but they are not really as important as these three. I want to really get this blog up and running. I know that I blog regularly and I have a nice following of readers, but I want to turn this into a real time blog. I think that I could really make a lot from it and that is what my goal is for 2008. Hey, you never know? Maybe I am the next big time earner. But, we will have to wait and see. If you want to help me with my goal, subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks a lot!

Theme: Don’t Let Anyone Get in Your Way

December 8, 2007

Since I am not having the best of days, I thought I’d write a more passionate post with a bit more of opinion in it. One of the biggest things that people do wrong is that they let someone get in their way. They let someone interfere in their ability to earn on the web or in anything. They let someone step in and say, “oh, you can’t possibly do that. Oh, you can’t possibly succeed.” And the problem is…They believe them. Rather than just shrugging their shoulders, they believe them. They believe that they really can’t do it because someone else said so and that becomes that and they fail. And they fail!

They bloody fail! Why? Because someone got in the way! Don’t let it happen to you. Do you think that those that are on the top let anyone get in the way of their success? Fuck no. Pardon my language, but fuck no. They let no one steer them away from their dreams. Whether your dream is to be an Operatic singer or it is to own a blog that is TEN TIMES BIGGER than JohnChow.com and laugh at him every day because he isn’t the best anymore, then do it! Don’t let someone say, “Oh, but John is the best…John can’t be beat.” If you want to be considered better than him, then you have to bloody well do it and do it good!

People are always getting in the way of our success. They don’t want US to succeed because they are envious. But, there is another ‘anyone’ that you must not let get in your way. Yourself. Don’t let yourself get in your way. I read a novel once and it talked about how you can persuade yourself that you don’t deserve this success, so you shouldn’t have it. Wrong! You deserve it. If you earned it, you deserve it and you should not let your inner-self get in the way of that. You deserve it. You deserve to be happy and you deserve your success.

So do not let anyone get in your way. If someone says, “you can’t do it,” just nod your head, thank them for their poor attempt at motivating you and damn well do it. But, be humble. There is no need to rub it anyones face. The less other people can influence your decisions, the more control you have over your success. The more you allow yourself to be manipulated and believe what the masses say, the less likely you are going to come away with success. Do not conform. Do not become an individual that is swayed because someone else said something to you. Be strong.
