If you are somewhat known to the internet, you will have probably come across a word cloud site. Basically, this is a link cloud which is a huge collection of links all together. It’s a site whose sole purpose is to provide a backlink; however, the difference between this and a directory is that with a directory, you have certain categories; with a word cloud site, you’re just looking to get a weak link for very cheap with the right anchor text. However, how exactly do you run it and how do you make it so that it is better and better and making more money?

First and foremost, you need to find a free script. I don’t have any links to sites, but you’re going to want to find the one that suits you best. Along with finding this script, you need to find a domain. Now, I don’t care what you do for a domain because the most important thing that you do is get one with PR. The higher the PR, the better. Because of this, if you can get a PR4, you can charge more per link than if you only get a PR2. However, it can be difficult getting a domain like this, so don’t be afraid to pay a bit more to get one. Or, you can just build your domain up yourself.

Once you have done this, you need to determine how many links you’re going to want. Since this is usually a permanent link you’re selling, you need to be damn ready to pay for hosting for the site for a long time. So, if you sell each link for $2.00 initially along with size, bolding, color, etc all costing more money, you may actually make a decent amount of money. However, the more links that you try and put, the less money you might make per link, unless you have a high PR domain that is on the site. If you have this, people will want to get the link more and more.

The key to making money on these sites is that you need to continue opening new ones. I have seen a lot of people make some good money on them. It can be rather difficult to keep them all running because hosting and domain renewals can cost money; however, after a while, people forget about the link. I used to own one and then sold it to my friend. He erased all the links and no one knew. The point is this…Keep it open for a while and people will be happy. Just don’t make one, sell links, and then never pay for the hosting again. That’s bad business.

There is one thing that I have found people do a lot when they are working on their websites. They’ll work really hard on getting links to their site and they’ll work really hard on trying to increase their search engine rankings and then once they have succeeded in doing what they wanted to do, they just stop. They stop working on that site, they don’t add new content to it, they just give up and go on and do other things. They think that because they are now making money, that they will make money all the time. This is wrong and I am going to explain what you should do once you’ve ranked well for a site and you’re making money.

Once you have a nice sized site made and it’s making you money, you’re going to want to expand on it. Every once in a while, you want to add more content to the site. Search engines like to see activity on your site and I don’t just mean people coming to the site. They like to see new content coming onto the site. I’m not saying that you need to add hundreds of articles every month. But, if your site is fifty articles strong, add four or five new articles every single month. If you add these, not only are you increasing the numbers of pages that could get money, but you are also appeasing the search engines and that is important.

The next thing you want to do is you want to continue getting new links to your site. If you rank well for one keyword, start trying to rank well for other keywords. The more keywords you rank highly for, the more traffic that you are going to get to your site and that just means that you are going to make more money. Let me give you a simple equation. Traffic = Money. MORE Traffic = MORE Money. Even More Traffic = Yeah baby, I am making the cash now. See what I mean? The more keywords you rank for, the more traffic to your site, and that means that you are going to be making even more money from your sites. It’s really quite amazing.

Continuing to work on your site is very important if you are going to expand. Whether you’re talking about a forum, blog, content site, or another site, you need to work on it. No matter what type of site you’re working with, you need to constantly work on it. Forums are pretty easy in that respect because people are constantly posting, so you’re getting indexed for more and more. But, for content sites especially, you need to ensure that new pages are appearing on your site. That’s one of the most important things you can do, but if you do it right, you can bet you’re going to start making more and more money. It just takes time.
