One type of site that has popped up everywhere on the internet is the arcade site. For those that don’t know, an arcade site is a massive collection of flash games from all over the net all in one script. You can either get a free script or you can try the more risky part and purchase a script. When I set up my arcade site, I decided that it would be better to purchase a script because it would give the site a better look as well as provide me with a much better way to put the ads into the faces of the players. That’s the way it works for an arcade. If you are able to show the ads to the players more, it will provide a much better chance for you to get a click.

Now, if you do decide you want to make an arcade, what you need to do is prepare for a lot of initial work. I have found that the best way to make a profit on arcade sites is to rely on viral marketing. If you can get as many of your friends and family to tell as many of their friends about the arcade site, you can really begin to see some success on the site. However, viral marketing doesn’t always work. It can offer you some initial traffic, but for us, we always want more. We want to get more people to our site and get more people playing our games. Playing our games means that we can make more money. The more traffic, the better.

Another way to greatly increase the traffic to your site is to purchase banners on different sites, such as other arcade sites and sites that offer traffic that would have tons of traffic that you are trying to target. My recommendation are video sites, myspace resource sites, and arcade sites. Get links and banners on those sites and you can be guaranteed to start getting a regular rush of traffic. Of course, if you can rank high for a highly searched term on search engines, you could be guaranteed some very nice search engine traffic. It has been found that search engine traffic is the best for earning money because they are most likely to click. One final way that you can earn money is by using myspace. If you make bulletins and send messages and post comments about your arcade site, you could really get a lot of people to your site. But don’t spam the site because that’ll just get you banned.
Now, I am sure one of the big things you are wanting to learn is how you can possibly make money from your arcade site. The first is, of course, adsense. Signing up for adsense is important and I cannot express the need to do it. If you can get a lot of clicks on your site, you’ll be making some nice money. I have even gotten $1.00+ links before, so it is really beneficial to sign up. Another site that I highly recommend you signing up for is adversal. I recommend signing up for them because you can make some nice money from the pop ups. I have run pop ups on my site for about two months now and they have really benefited. And since adversal has a referral program, if you get a few of your friends to sign up as well, you could really make a nice income.

Overall, running an arcade site is a great way to make some money. But, unlike other sites that don’t need thousands and thousands of visitors a month to make a good profit, these do. You really need to work on the traffic fast because if you can get a high traffic for your site, you are pretty much guaranteed to have a nice amount of money to be earned. I recommend using the viral marketing that I mentioned in my previous post. And I recommend using adversal and adsense together to make a nice profit. If you really work hard on your arcade and devote some time to it, you can find yourself making quite a bit of money a day. I have seen someone make $300 a day on their site using JUST adsense. Imagine if they had used adversal as well. Good luck!

If you remember my post about running a directory, you’ll see that I praised members that started directories because it really offers the chance to make a considerable amount of money. Well, I know that I don’t normally talk about my sites all that much, but I decided that I would mention my newest site. I started a directory today with the hopes of building a solid one. Now, I am going to talk about a few things on my directory with the hopes of showing you what I meant a little bit more in my post about running a directory. And hey, you may love what you read so much, you may create your own directory, or even better, buy a link on mine. So, the directory is Bronze Links Web Directory…Check it out.
First and foremost, if you look at my directory, you’ll notice that it is a PR0. This is a severe weakness and if you are ever going to run a site, you need to remember that a PR0 link isn’t all that wonderful. However, there was something that I did to combat the fact that this is a PR0. It’s inevitable that if I put any work into the site, it’ll increase in page rank. It’s not all that hard to get page rank if you mention it in some blog posts, link to it and get a few high ranking links to it. So, my way of getting around the fact that the site is a PR0 is that I offer you a $1.00 that will last forever. Isn’t that a good move? You take a one dollar risk and potentially get a higher PR link after a while. It’s definitely a good move, I think.

I offer a lot of different categories. You are entitled to set up whatever type of directory you want. If you want to make a blog directory, you wouldn’t have the same type of categories that I do. Or maybe you would and they would just be about blogs rather than a generic site. I like the generic site because it allows more people to potentially add their sites to my directory. And that means that I could potentially make more money from it. However, the directory can be whatever type you want and so long as your PR is higher or you offer an amazing deal, you’ll make money. That’s all that matters, right? Making money.

The final thing that you may notice is that I don’t have adsense on it nor do I have a very unique theme. First to mention the adsense. Since right now, my goal is to try and build the traffic, I don’t want people leaving the site via adsense. I want them to look around the site more and I want them to click on links leading to other sites that bought a link on my site. If they see that one of their sites is getting traffic from me, they may buy other links, you know? Once the traffic skyrockets, I will probably add adsense to it to make a little passive income. As for the theme, you’ll notice it is very generic. The simple truth of that is that I was never someone that loved aesthetics. I probably should get it a better theme and I probably will soon.

As you can see, Bronze Links Web Directory is a new directory with no page rank, but it does have the chances to grow. With a little taking care of, the directory will definitely grow. Now, I know I am biased and I want to make some money, but I really do think that for a dollar, you’re making an investment that could become a very inexpensive high page rank. Imagine when the directory becomes a page rank four. For one dollar, you would have gotten a permanent page rank four link. Isn’t that a pretty nice deal? So, while I am biased, I really think that you should get a link. For a buck, you can, in the future, increase your page rank. But don’t take my word for it…Try it out.
