Theme: Happy Thanksgiving
November 22, 2007For those that are not from America, this post probably does not mean much, but for those that ARE from America, I just wanted to express my wishes for you all and I hope that you all have a Happy Thanksgiving. And for those that are not, go ahead and have a turkey and pretend it’s Thanksgiving.
I think that’s one of the big things that people forget to do. I think they forget to thank. Hell, I forget to thank all the time. Let me give you a few examples where I am sure that you may have forgotten to say thank you just in the past few days. Maybe it’ll make us all think again and get us all thanking.
- Someone linked to one of our articles. I’ve been linked to before, but I can’t remember always going and saying “thanks for that link.” Maybe we should try.
- You got an e-mail saying “I love your site.” Maybe you’re so busy, you forget to reply. Give a reply and say, “thanks a lot.” Just that little bit will make that person feel good.
- Someone commented on your blog posts (it’s okay to comment on this one just so you know). One of the big mistakes people make (and I do too) is not replying to these comments. If you comment, thank the person for commenting. They’ll come back, I promise.
These are just three things that we may forget to say thank you for. Granted, it’s not as great as getting a meal from a tribe of people who could have just as easily killed you, but it’s still the thought that counts right? So, when you’re sitting down in front of a massive table of turkey, stuffing, potatoes, corn, pumpkin pie, and everything else that is absolutely delicious, remember to say thank you for the small things in life. The next time someone comments, thank them. They’ll come back. Happy Thanksgiving everyone! May it be a great one!
