Theme: Increase Your Traffic With rssHugger

November 23, 2007

I have probably said it a dozen times and let me say it again: without traffic, you won’t make money. It’s the truth. You can’t just throw a site up and say “yes, I’m making money.” Nope. You have to get traffic to that site and you have to constantly get more. That can be difficult; trust me, I know. I have a hard time getting traffic too, but I think I may have found an idea that really could work. It’s called rssHugger. rssHugger is a new way to get people to see your blog posts, click on a link and appear at your blog.

The way it works is that you sign up and pay one of two costs. The first is $10.00, but you have to write a blog post about the site. But really, it’s not all that hard. Look at what I’m writing about: the site. It gives me a blog post and it gives the site more advertising. So, anyways. You pay $10.00, write a blog post and then your site is up. Or you can pay $20.00 and then have your site up. If you want to see an example of what you get for paying the money, whether the first plan or the second plan, click here.

There is a top 100 section that shows the 100 most active blogs. It’s cool, but the big fear is that those massive blogs will be at the top and the big guy will win again. But, here’s the trick. Those that promote it the most get the most. You see, the way to increase your ranking on the top one hundred section is to get people to look at your rssHugger page. By showing people that, your rank goes up and then more people may click on it. And, at the first of the month, it restarts and goes back to zero. So, if you don’t get new people to click on it, you won’t get the maximum traffic.

Alright…That’s a very rough understanding of what it is. I recommend you try it out. It’s new right now, so the ten bucks may seem expensive, but it’s for ten years, so that’s a dollar a year. That’s pretty good advertising. Even if you only get ten readers a month, that’s one hundred and twenty readers a year and that’s an incredible CPC. So, I recommend trying it out. It’s definitely a site that I recommend and I really think it’s well worth the money for the future. Good luck with it and I hope you can get a ton of traffic from it.

Update:

It appears that the community has spoken and now rssHugger does not cost a thing if you write a blog post about it.  If you still don’t want to write about it (which I may have to do for some of my own blogs) then just pay the $20.00 and you’ll get your blog listed.  But, I think this will definitely help the site get bigger, get more traffic to it and benefit the rest of us all tremendously.  Nicely done!
