Earning Money

One of the great things that I have personally found from being able to write coherent sentences is that I was always able to type papers for my friends. They were able to write the paper, but when it came down to typing, what would take me, at most, ten minutes to type would take them an hour to type. Add the fact that I never typed with chat speak (instant messenger typing) and they always did, and I was fully capable of helping them get a paper that was typed correctly. It was a good service that made me some small money from time to time. Sure, I wasn’t rolling around in money, but I was able to afford a new CD (when CDs were still being bought a few years ago). In college and even high school, a well typed paper is very important. Since points come off for grammar and the such, it is very important for your paper to be well written. That’s where this service comes in.

The one important thing that you must understand when doing this is that you are NOT the creator of the paper. You must not offer to write the paper for them. You must only offer to type the paper for them. By writing the paper for them, they are getting an A off of your work. By typing the paper, the ideas are still theirs, but you are just ensuring that the paper is actually able to be read…Some of the papers I have seen are impossible to read. I will tell you from first hand experience, some of the papers I see my friends write are downright atrocious. How do they pass with such horribly written papers? Ah well…Their loss, my gain.

Now, there are two ways you can go about charging people for this and it really all depends on how you want to do it. The first method is to charge by the paper. That means that you tell them that it’ll cost X amount of dollars for the paper to be typed regardless of the length. This works because sometimes you get a shorter paper and you still get this money. In the same breath, though, you may lose out on making some. In relation to this method, you could always charge X amount of dollars on a paper to paper basis. What may cost $5.00 for one paper costs $7.00 for another. The other method is to charge by the page. This is especially effective if it is a much longer paper. Charging $2.00 a page and the paper is eight pages means you’ve walked away making $16.00. Not a lot, but I bet it took you, at most, thirty minutes to type. Imagine getting paid thirty two bucks an hour to type essays…Amazing, huh?

Let’s assume that things really begin to look up for you and you are finding a lot of clients for papers to get typed. And, you just can’t handle all of the work. That’s where you bring a friend in. But, you need to think like a business man. Since you are finding the business, naturally, you should get a percentage of the pie, right? Yes! So, say you want to charge per paper. And, you charge the person $7.00 for the paper. You turn around and tell your friend that you’ll pay him $5.00 to type the paper. Now, you’ve just made $2.00 and you haven’t done anything. That’s outsourcing. It’s bringing in other people to help with the workload. This idea needs to be taken with care, though. If you start writing the paper, you can get in trouble by the administration. However, getting paid to type a paper, as far as I know, is not a wrong thing to do. Try the idea out, if you want, and see if you can’t make some cash.
