Theme: Use a Time Stamp
July 24, 2007One thing that is very good for bloggers is the ability to keep their blog updated every single day without having to touch a computer for a few days. Now, you may be asking yourself, how in the world can this be done? How can this possibly be done? It’s called a time stamp. Basically, you write the post and then punch in the exact time and date that you want it to be posted.
So, why do I mention this? I am going on vacation tomorrow and I will be away for a few days. I don’t know if the hotel will have internet so because of this, I will need to use time stamps. I can write my blog posts tomorrow for the next four days. Granted, it will be just a bit harder because I have to think up a bunch of things to write about all at once, but perhaps I will be able to put together a series.
If you are ever going away on vacation or you know you’re not going to be around for a while, go use a time stamp. It doesn’t hurt to always have a post ready. You can always bump the time stamp date back more and more just to have it on reserve. One thing I would do is write one blog post and then every day just bump it back the next day. Use it when you have no motivation to write a blog post. It’ll really be a great way to ensure you keep your post frequency active.
