Theme: Winners Never Quit and Quitters Never Win
October 31, 2007It’s true. Winners never quit and quitters never win. A winner may have wanted to quit, but they didn’t. And they won. And quitters may have wanted to win, but they quit. And they lost. Quitters never win and winners never quit. This is a philosophy that every webmaster MUST live by. You must live by the philosophy that you can never be defeated. You can never be bested. You can never be destroyed. We are in a business that requires only a great passion. I blog and I can’t even write HTML. I make money and I can’t code a site for my life. We’re in a business that requires only a great passion.
My friend at KingNomar.com talked about how he had often thought of giving up. Hell, I have thought about giving up numerous times. I can remember Ramon and I talking on MSN and saying, “man, every month and we’re still not making much. Why can’t we succeed?” Every single month, we’d have the same conversation. And there were times that I told him to shut the hell up and keep at it and the same for me. If it wasn’t for Ramon’s friend Anand, he’d have sold out. Why do I pinpoint Ramon? Because he is an example of the same stress we ALL have. We all want to give up sometimes.
Build up your friends! Friends are there to make the transition from a small time webmaster to a big time webmaster easier. Furthermore, they make it incredibly possible to bounce ideas off of and finally, they help you when you want to give up. I have thought about selling this blog. I’d sell it, make the money and then do something with it to try and grow elsewhere. But then I realized. I have a passion for blogging. And it is that PASSION that keeps me coming back for more every single day. Every single day I come back and write because I love what I write about. Winners never quit and I want to be a winner. I want to succeed. If you’re EVER feeling like you want to give up, just tell a friend and if he is a friend, he’ll support you. Best of luck and remember…Winners do not quit.
