Theme: You Have to Take It
June 25, 2007I watched a movie tonight with my brother called The Departed. You know, it has Leonardo DiCapprio and Matt Damon and a nice cast of actors. The thing, though, that I took from the movie was one thing: “No one in this world’ll give you anything, you have to take it.” Now, I am not saying to anyone on this blog that I think you should be a crook. If you are, I have no respect for you and I don’t want you reading my blog. What I am saying is that you can’t expect to be given charity in this business. If you want to be successful, you have to earn that damn success. You can’t be given it.
I thought about it and I was reading some blog posts on different sites and I realized something. People are always asking those webmasters that are making a killing for money. People asking for money for a car and all of this garbage. I just laugh when I read them. I am broke, I have little money, and yet I have never begged for money. It’s not how you do business in this world. On the internet, you’re never going to get a break. There are those earners that already are making tons of cash and you can’t expect them to give you a single dime. Why should they? They started from the bottom and they earned their way up. You have to do the same thing.
Whether you are starting a business on the internet or off the internet, you can’t expect anyone to help you. You need to find your individuality and you need to work with that. Take it, don’t expect to be given it. If you want a part of the hosting market for a hosting company, take it! Offer a killer deal and get some clients. But if you can’t take it, you don’t deserve it. You need to be willing to work hard for what you want. In the end, you will succeed. But, you need to take what you want. Now, like I said, I don’t mean steal it. I just mean that if you want something, work for it, okay? Don’t beg or expect to get it. You need to earn it. And earn it good…When you look back at what you’ve earned, you can grin and smile in happiness, because you earned it.
